‘Art is the collaboration between God and the artist, and the less the artist does, the better.’ Andre Gide

What is Living Art?

Living Art is an outreach ministry which grew out of AnthonyHodgsonArt. As in the story of the Prodigal Son, the idea is to get across the good news that Jesus Christ shared during his time on Earth, namely we have a heavenly Father who loves us so much and has made a way back out of this broken, messed up world to himself. If you’re interested in how Living Art came to be, click here.

So how does it work?

At a Living Art event, I tell the story behind a piece, how it came to be, what it means, using spoken word, poetry and song. The painting or drawing will be on view as a focus for reflection.

Where do they take place?

Living Art events can take place at any venue, from  somewhere as small as someone’s living room  or a cafe, to somewhere as large as a conference centre or cathedral.

How much does it cost?

It’s free. I don’t charge. I leave that up to God. Jesus said: ‘Seek first the Kingdom and all these things will be given to you.’ That’s good enough for me.

If you like the sound of an arts evening, I’d be honoured to host an event near you. Please get in touch here.
