Strange Days, 2020
I completed this small artwork for an online auction for OutsideIn, an organisation that supports artists who've struggled with mental health. The title, originally a Doors song, seemed apt: a strange artwork to reflect a strange time - a time of fabricated viruses, government-imposed lockdowns and the damage that followed; political, media and medical collusion and profiteering in untested, experimental drugs being forced upon populations worldwide. So we see here, the PCR tests, the swabs, the barcodes and the fear. The eye-in-the-sky, Big Brother surveillance features too - all trappings of our 'strange days'.
